What is it? It is an app that can be downloaded on any smartphone. It has a list of registered stores that post different offers that pay you money when you purchase everyday products.
What kinds of stores? There are quite few stores that are registerred; Walmart, Target, Walgreens, the Military Commissary, to name a few. These just happen to be the stores I frequent the most. So, if you are gonna shop anyway, why not make some money doing it?
What type of products have offers? Here's a list of a few items that currently have offers. They constantly post updates. Kool Aid Jammers ($0.75), Jack Link's Beef Jerky ($0.75), Ortega Chips & Salsa Combo ($1.50), Aquafresh Extreme Clean Toothpaste ($0.50), Edge Shave Gel ($0.50), Brawny Paper Towels ($1.00)
How do you get it? Fairly simple, downloaded the app and set up an account.
Download the ibotta here!
Review current offers, then go shopping, scan your items, receipts and make money! Also, some stores have their specific offers, that if you purchase certain items specifically from their store, you earn more money.
There are also small little tasks you can also complete to earn even more; post a product on your facebook page, complete a survey (so far the ones I have done only ask 1 to 2 questions and earned me at least $0.25 each.)
How do I get my money? You transfer money you have earned to your PayPal account.
Can you earn grocery money with ibotta? Probably not, but within the first day of using it, I have earned $5. And I did my shopping before I got the app. Meaning, I earned that money buying items I normally purchase. I could have earned more had I just chosen a different brand on certain products.
For instance, Kool Aid Jammers was on sale at Walmart for $1.88. Using ibotta, I answered two simple questions, took a photo of my receipt. And I got $0.75. It didn't make me rich, but it's still 75 cents earned.
